Read any informational article and a rhyme is, dare I say, out of line (excuse). Comparing prose to poetry is like comparing a photograph to an artists' painting of the picture. Think about a legal statement of facts vs. a dramatic reading. Think science vs. the arts.
Wordsthatkick may not be about poetry at all, it is all about:
The beauty of conveying an idea successfully, or successfully conveying an idea beautifully. Being bowled over with emotion at the sight of a single word, finding sanctity in simplicity, being oddly surprised by the familiar, and being made to laugh or sigh.
Wordsthatkick sing before you know it's a song, or lull a child to sleep like a lullaby. A word that didn't exist a few years ago but now is recognized worldwide, like Google, is awesome. Or:
A saying that people still say after many years (gone by),
A headline that screams look at me(or die),
An ad that catches your eye that says bye, by, buy.
These are the words that quack, in mean, kick.
And these: The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Carroll
